Dr Bernard Murphy, Fingerpost Dental Douglas Cork
For the safety of staff, patients and community, I have had to make the difficult decision to suspend all routine dental care until further notice.
If you already have a scheduled appointment, it is cancelled. We will contact you as soon as things return to normal to re-schedule.
Please note for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic, only the following are considered dental emergencies:
-Swelling of the face and/or neck associated with your teeth
-An accident or trauma
If you think you have a qualifying emergency, please complete the Covid-19 screening form available here and we will contact you as soon as we can. At the moment we don’t have the staff to provide operative care but we may be able to provide prescriptions and/or advice as necessary. Our emergency number is 087 4058409.
I hope that in the coming weeks we may be able to hold one or two emergency clinics per week in the surgery, provided we can get the appropriate personal protective equipment and are permitted to so do by the regulator. Check back here for updates regularly.
This is necessary to protect staff and to save very scarce protective equipment for the most serious cases.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope that we can all return to normal as soon as possible. Please follow all HSE guidance given regarding social distancing, handwashing etc and together we can all look forward to an early end to this pandemic.
